Not far from the famous Via Francigena — the historical route from Canterbury to Rome and to the Holy Land beyond — this wonderful property seats on top of a hill right outside the renowned hamlet of Chiusdino, nearby the fascinating Abbey of San Galgano (where the Sword in rock legend comes from), and only a few km away from medieval Siena.
The two buildings overlook its own 320 hectares of pristine Tuscan countryside coppiced woodland, mainly oaks and chestnuts. The woodland occupies, almost as far as the eye can see, the entire view from the garden or property windows. The property is completely private and concealed from the view, you leave the main road and you walk or drive for about 700m (0.45 miles) to get to the house.
The property consists of two stone buildings, partially remodeled. The main one is a 3 storey building with three bathrooms, two kitchens, two fireplaces and 5 bedrooms total. Each floor has its own independent entrance. The second building was the old barn, 2 storey high, and can potentially be repurposed in many ways including remodeling it as an extra living space.
The area is one of the most pristine Tuscan countryside locations left in this unique region. In the last few years the nearby area had attracted major investors like Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) owned Belmond group, which purchased the nearby Castello Di Casole, creating a unique and exclusive resort experience. Other exclusive luxury attractions in the close proximity are Borgo Santo Pietro relais among a few others.
